Crumble Pop is offering a great plugin for Final Cut Pro X which mac it very simple and easy to apply a tilt shift effect to a video.
Tilt shift is becoming a very popular style at the moment and I have often apply it to some of my stills photos which creates an effect that makes the subject look like a miniature. I would advise shooting from up high to get a result imitating a model village. Above is a great example of what I mean that also uses time lapse to make NYC’s inhabitants look like ants scurrying around.
